Thoroughly clean all plastics/surface with soap and water, remove any old adhesive, dirt (ensure to get into any areas that may hold dirt), oils, etc. At this time, it may also be necessary to do a light buffing/sanding for any areas that have blemishes.
Rinse surface with plain water and dry with a lint-free cloth.
Before removing backing from the graphics, hold the graphics up to your cart/bike/vehicle, to get a general idea of how the graphics will lay on the surface.
Wet Apply Method: Spray the surface with the water/soap mixture. Ensure the entire surface is wet. This will help with ensuring a good placement of the kit to the plastics.
Dry Apply Method: Align the graphic to the area it will be applied on. You may need to tape the kit down the middle of it to keep it in position.
Wet Apply Method: Remove the backing from graphics and as you peel, spray soapy water mix the adhesive side. This will allow you to move the decal kit around to the position needed.
Dry Apply Method: With the decal taped down in position, remove the backing from one side. Hold side up and start to squeegee from center of decal (where tape is) out.
Start squeegeeing from center of the decal/wrap and push all the air/water out. Focus on removing any water and air bubbles as you work your way to the outside. *It is recommended that someone holds the graphic away (up) from the plastic as you work the squeegee. This will help remove any water or air.
Repeat with all other graphics.
Heat treatment is recommended post install. This will ensure everything “locks” in. If you find you have air bubbles, you may be able to “pop” them with a needle, or lift your decal up to release the air and reapply. Looking for bubbles is recommended prior to your final heat treatment.
Let the graphic kit/vinyl dry for at least 24 – 48 hrs – do not wash the cart. Letting it bake in the sun is also good for the decal/wrap during the settling period. Enjoy!
